Maya Arad holds an M.A. in Dramaturgy from the University of Amsterdam where she graduated with distinction. Her Master thesis: Focalizing Bodies: Visual Narratology in the Post-Dramatic Theatre was nominated for the theatre thesis prize by Theatre Institute Netherlands (TIN) and is published in a book form by German publishing house Tectum Verlag.
Maya has been the dramaturge of several award-winning theatre performances which tour in festivals around Europe. Her play The Diamond Stars won the first prize of the international playwriting competition of ITI – UNESCO in 2010.
